The Game of Golf, has definitely changed over the years. Well, not quite the game, but the golf courses and accessories have insurance.
Remember when I first started playing golf, for decades. The only metal on our golf clubs irons were the courses and of course your putter. A golf driver very good persimmons are made of wood. And fairway woods is just that, Woods. Hybrid Irons? What is that? Metal Fairway? Come on.
At that time it was considered a 250-yard enormous. Now, hell, these guys are pounding out 400 yards or more. A drive of 300 yards for a career not just a standard but it is almost expected. Hitting the ball long has acquired a whole new meaning.
My dad and I played together as often as possible. We live in different parts of the country, which is not as often as we would like. But I can not think of a number of occasions on which great success both tee shots. My dad said, "his was young, mine was the technology. Youth? Dad I am pushing fifty.
