DLF, the largest brokerage firm in the country today in bags of 350-acres of land for Rs 1,750 million rupees in Haryana to develop a draft recreation and leisure, making it one of the most expensive land deals in recent times.
"The letter of acceptance to the contractor (DLF) after obtaining the approval of the state government, the Union of Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HSIIDC) Deputy General Manager Priya Sardana, said.
Earlier this week, DLF, emerged as the sole bidder for the 350-acre project after the bids from other parties - Unitech and Malaysia-consortium Based on Country Heights, Country Club of South Africa and Rajarhat IT park - ineligible for technical reasons.
The qualified bidder, DLF, had referred to his offer of 12,000 rupees per square meter mt price of Rs 11.978 against reservations per ton square for the project.
Previously, BPTP had taken a 95 one-acre plot in Noida for Rs 5.006 million rupees in 2008, but by then returned because of an inability to find money to pay.
DLF has acquired 38 acres in the heart of New Delhi for Rs 1,675 million rupees. Unitech had bagged in 1750 acres Vizag for Rs 3,350 million rupees, while the company received 340 acres in Noida for Rs 1.582 million rupees in 2006.
HSIIDC had a tender in January of this year's allocation of 350 acres of land premium on the basis of full ownership, Wazirabad village in Gurgaon, for the establishment of a sports and leisure, as residential and commercial buildings and golf courses.
The company offers invited back after the only bidder at the time - DLF - has revealed some difficulties in implementing the project.
In second round of bidding, Unitech was disqualified as a partner has been found ineligible for the project, while the third has not allowed that the net value of the company based in Malaysia, Country Heights was below the amount required Rs 500 crore.
